Capitalia was founded in mid-2012, by Antonio J. D’Elia to assist international investors sourcing, structuring and managing special opportunity investments in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean in general.
Additionally, Capitalia provides strategic and corporate finance advisory to international based clients. With offices in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Capitalia’s team is dedicated to deliver sophisticated and tailor-made solutions to its clients and partners. Together with the Co-Founders, the team of experts and analysts has complementary backgrounds and proven track records, with significant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, investments, and management.
Antonio co-founded Capitalia in mid-2012. Prior to Capitalia, Antonio was CFO and Board Member of Arca International Bank, an international banking entity based in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Director of Business Development at Caja Caracas, a broker dealer with operations in Venezuela and Florida. Antonio also worked for more than seven years in BBVA Banco Provincial in Venezuela in various positions including Head of Private Banking and Head of VIP Banking serving high net worth clients based in the Andean Region and Panamá.
Previously, Mr. D’Elia worked as a trader in the Caracas Stock Exchange for Bancaracas Mercados de Capitales (now Bbo) and Merinvest Sociedad de Corretaje (an affiliate of Banco Mercantil). Antonio holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Andres Bello and a Masters in Marketing from IESA based in Caracas, Venezuela.
